Portland

My name is Karnsinee Phophichai. I'm a nineteen years old international student from Thailand. 

Currently, I'm a second-year college student at Portland State University.

I started my kindergarten at Thewphaingarm school in Bangkok when I was merely three years old. I went to this same school for a total of fourteen years and came to the USA when I was sixteen, a junior in high school. I was told since I was little that I was going to study at the same high school as my father did. It's a private boarding school in a small town in Utah, Wasatch Academy. My father graduated from this same school, and he loved it there. Wasatch Academy is a small school, it only has a total of 300 students.

It took me a few months to re-adjust myself to the new environment there. Since I was very little, I always had a nanny to looking after me. However, at Wasatch Academy I had to learn how to do things on my own. The boarding school taught me many new experiences that I would not be able to do otherwise. Living with many people was not easy either. At any rate, I have learned many cultures as my boarding school had many international students. It was an exceptional two years in Utah, I must say that my father was right. I loved it there as well. I graduated from Wasatch Academy in 2014 and started college at Portland State University in Fall 2014. I plan to finish my undergraduate degree in2018 and then hope to start my graduate degree the following year.
